Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate
- Experience teaching special education at the elementary or K-8 level
- Knowledge of individualized education plan (IEP) processes and compliance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor instruction for diverse learners and support their academic/social success
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and interventions to Mild/Moderate K-8th grade students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic and behavioral needs
- Maintain effective records and documentation in accordance with local and federal regulations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure inclusive and equitable access to the curriculum
