Preferred candidates will bring expertise in special education and demonstrate confidence contributing to Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, actively supporting student growth through tailored learning plans. You'll collaborate closely with school staff and parents to foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom.
What You'll Bring:
- Texas Educator License with both Special Education and Core/Generalist endorsements
- Practical experience leading or actively contributing in ARD meetings
- Strong skills in foundational learning and life skills instruction for young learners
- A professional commitment to a clean, inclusive appearance (no visible tattoos, single color hair, professional attire, and limited earrings)
- Dedication to building a positive classroom community through patience, empathy, and effective communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instructional plans for a small life skills-focused class
- Participate actively in ARD meetings, collaborating on IEP goals and student progress
- Establish a supportive, consistent classroom structure that prioritizes equity and growth
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Comply with all school dress code and professional standards
