Make a real impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a thriving school setting just outside Denver, Colorado. These contract opportunities allow you to work closely with students, providing critical learning and behavioral support alongside a team of passionate educators.
We are seeking two professionals for the following assignments:
- Full-time Learning Services Teacher at Northglenn Middle School with a mild-to-moderate caseload (ages 11-14), starting September 23rd for a 7-week assignment.
- Full-time role at Rocky Top Middle School: half-time Significant Support Needs (SSN) Teacher (serving students with significant cognitive and/or communicative disabilities) and half-time Learning Specialist (mild/moderate supports). Would consider hiring a part-time candidate solely for the SSN role beginning as soon as possible through Winter Break.

Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5-21) endorsement.
- Previous teaching experience in special education preferred.
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, specialists, and paraprofessionals.
- Flexibility to work in either, or both, Northglenn and Thornton as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct instruction and support for academic and behavioral growth.
- Adjust teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Monitor and document student progress throughout the assignment.
- Communicate with parents/guardians and the school team on student achievements.
Other Requirements:
- Complete reference checks before interview process (uploaded via RefAssured).
- Fulfill district credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and background checks.
