Step into a meaningful role supporting the growth and success of middle school students by guiding them through their educational journey. This rewarding opportunity is designed for a skilled Special Education Teacher who is comfortable working independently and has a proven track record in providing resource supports and co-taught instruction. You’ll split your day between two nearby middle school campuses, engaging with small groups of 8th-grade students in both resource and co-taught settings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching licensure
- Background working with middle school students, especially in resource or co-taught classrooms
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners
- Confidence managing a dynamic environment and collaborating within a team
- Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored academic instruction in both co-taught and resource class environments
- Support approximately 8-10 students in resource classes, focusing on both group and individualized needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
- Contribute to IEP development and implementation
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Adapt and differentiate instruction to achieve student success
