Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (LBS1) in Illinois
- Experience supporting students with diverse disabilities, both 1:1 and in classroom groups
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability and commitment to student-centered instruction across K-12 grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop, update, and maintain IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment fostering growth and confidence
- Partner with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistency and advocacy for student needs
