Special Education Teacher - Easton, MD
Make an immediate impact by supporting students of all ages as a Special Education Teacher on a full-time contract assignment for the upcoming school year! Serving elementary, middle, and high school levels, your expertise will support both inclusion classrooms and self-contained settings, including behavior and life skills programs. This position runs from August 17, 2026, through June 18, 2027, operating Monday through Friday from 7:25am to 4pm.
Your role will be critical in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive the individualized attention and instruction they deserve. Collaborate with other professionals and families to support student success—and enjoy a rewarding, engaging work environment.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Valid state Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience working in elementary, middle, or high school settings welcomed
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with inclusion models, behavioral support, and life skills curriculum
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Adapt and deliver curriculum to meet varied academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Implement IEPs, document progress, and participate in required meetings
- Support students in both inclusion settings and self-contained classrooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and families
- Maintain organized records and provide timely feedback to stakeholders
