Special Education Teacher | Aurora, Illinois

Your daily hours would be from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, giving you the structure needed to excel while maintaining work-life balance. You’ll be responsible for teaching, lesson planning, classroom management, implementing IEPs, and composing IEPs according to each student’s unique learning needs.
Qualifications:
- State-issued SPED (Special Education) licensure
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Passion for fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver targeted lessons in alignment with IEP goals
- Manage a classroom of up to 8 students, adapting instruction as needed
- Collaborate with support staff, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Accurately maintain records, track progress, and participate in IEP meetings
