Key Qualifications:
- Current Kentucky Special Education certification with Moderate to Severe Disabilities (MSD) credentials required
- Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Deep understanding of IEP development, classroom management, and differentiated instruction
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and implement strategies for an elementary caseload of 7 students with moderate to severe needs
- Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and challenges
- Employ evidence-based practices and adapt curriculum and materials to foster academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings, including IEP conferences and progress reviews
- Engage and communicate regularly with families and related service providers to support comprehensive care
