Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current Kentucky Special Education Teaching certification, including MSD credentials
- Demonstrated experience serving students with moderate to severe disabilities, preferably in an elementary setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, staff, and families
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans for each student on your caseload
- Delivering targeted instruction that addresses both academic and functional goals
- Collaborating closely with paraprofessionals, specialists, and related service providers
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
