Qualifications:
- Valid Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS-I) license from the State of Illinois is required.
- Previous experience as a special education teacher, ideally in autism support settings.
- Expertise in instruction and individualized education plans for students on the autism spectrum.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support in a self-contained classroom of nine students with autism.
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored for each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with therapists, assistants, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
- Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
- Maintain clear records and documentation for all students.
- Fulfill a 7 hour and 15 minute workday with a paid 30-minute lunch break.
