Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Teaching License with a high school endorsement.
- All required certifications for working in an ED (Emotional Disabilities) high school classroom setting.
- Experience working with special education students in a school environment, especially at the high school level.
- Flexibility to work as a Teacher’s Assistant or long-term sub, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead or assist in an 11th/12th grade classroom, supporting students’ academic and social growth.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying needs.
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to promote student success.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
- Deliver onsite support only—this assignment requires physical presence.
