Special Education Teacher in Evanston, IL

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Case management experience in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, compliance, and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Collaborative and adaptable approach
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Manage a caseload of students, including developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and administrators to support student success
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and monitor progress toward goals
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and their families
