Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching credentials in Special Education
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, with preference for candidates who have worked in SDC or self-contained classrooms
- Background working with middle school students preferred

- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborative spirit to work alongside fellow teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support within a Special Day Class for middle school students
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet IEP goals and objectives
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Assess student progress and document growth, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate regularly with general education staff, administrators, and families to maximize student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
