Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Current state license for teaching Special Education
- Experience working in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Adaptability to foster inclusive learning environments for students with varying needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and strategies
- Collect and analyze student data to monitor academic and behavioral growth
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP reviews
