Qualifications and Experience:
- State certification or licensure in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience teaching students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Well-versed in adapting curriculum and instructional methods
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Positive approach to collaboration with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP
- Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies as needed
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student success
- Document academic and behavioral data, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates differences and encourages growth
