A rewarding opportunity awaits those passionate about making a difference in special education. Licensed Special Education Teachers are needed for several contract roles supporting students in diverse educational settings for the duration of the school year through June 11, 2026. These onsite positions serve a variety of needs, such as autism support, early childhood special education, developmental cognitive disabilities, and more.
Available roles include:
- Autism teaching positions at elementary and secondary levels (two at RiverEast Elementary/Secondary, one at Farnsworth Aerospace Lower, one at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper)
- Early Childhood Special Education (itinerant at 271 Belvidere Bldg)
- Special Education Teacher at Global Arts Plus – Lower (Settings 1 & 2)
- Special Education Teacher serving homebound students (based at RiverEast but providing services in various locations)
What We're Looking For:
- Current, valid Minnesota teaching license for special education
- Experience or familiarity with federal educational settings (1-4) preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads ranging from 4–19 students depending on placement
- Strong commitment to inclusive and adaptive educational practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
What You'll Do:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and specialists
- Foster supportive, positive learning environments
- Complete progress monitoring and required reporting
- Participate actively in team meetings and school initiatives
