Special Education Teacher in Minneapolis, MN

We are seeking seven passionate professionals to serve as Special Education Teachers for diverse settings at various school campuses in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. This rewarding contract opportunity runs through June 11, 2026, providing a stable and impactful role supporting learners across unique learning environments.
Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to teach in specialized settings, including autism support and early childhood special education, as well as provide homebound services for students requiring individualized attention. This role allows you to use your skills to foster academic and personal growth while working collaboratively with school teams and families.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience supporting students with autism, developmental cognitive disabilities, and/or early childhood special education needs
- Comfortable working in varied settings (elementary, secondary, itinerant, homebound)
- Strong communication, organizational, and case management skills
- Ability to adapt instruction based on students’ individualized education plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support in small group and one-on-one settings, adapting lessons to meet students' needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with related service providers, families, and other educators
- Manage diverse caseloads, ranging from 4 to 19 students, dependent on assignment
- Employ evidence-based strategies and positive behavioral interventions
- Maintain timely documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and district standards
