Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience working in a center-based classroom environment preferred
- Strong understanding of diverse learning needs, IEP implementation, and adapting instruction accordingly
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and resourcefulness to adapt to changing classroom dynamics
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students in center-based Strategies programs to support individualized academic, behavioral, and social development
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students’ unique learning profiles and IEP goals
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies to maximize achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to deliver comprehensive support
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and respectful classroom environment
- Provide crisis intervention, if necessary, and utilize de-escalation techniques
