With a growing caseload and the unique needs of a K-8 population, two Special Education Teachers are needed to divide age groups and manage service minutes effectively. Your expertise will ensure each student receives the individualized support necessary for success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working within K-8 educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational, communication, and behavior management skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to a variety of students' needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and tailored interventions to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Partner closely with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and development
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
