Qualifications:
- Valid credentials and experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with middle school-aged students, particularly in a resource or self-contained setting
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Medicaid NCI # required
- Ability to support students with a range of exceptionalities, from mild to severe
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
- Must successfully pass a background check
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for each student
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Maintain documentation and records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Work closely with other educators, therapists, and families to support the whole child
- Provide advocacy for students within team meetings and day-to-day activities
