Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Arizona Special Education teaching certificate
- Possess an active IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous experience in a high school resource or special education environment is highly valued
- Strong commitment to advocating for students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for partnerships with staff, students, and families
- Ability to create and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and track student progress
- Collaborative spirit and a flexible approach to daily challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and academic interventions to students identified for resource support
- Maintain and manage IEPs, ensuring all documentation, assessments, and meetings are completed accurately and on schedule
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet individual needs
- Partner with general education teachers to promote student inclusion and success
- Establish a supportive, positive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, service providers, and school staff
- Monitor classroom and individual student behavior, implementing intervention strategies as needed
