Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid licensure in Special Education (Intervention Specialist certification required)
- Experience working with high school students, especially those in non-traditional or recovery-based educational settings
- Skillful in developing, adapting, and implementing IEPs based on students’ unique needs
- Strong collaboration skills with general educators, support staff, and families
- Compassionate, positive, and patient approach to diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to each student’s learning plan
- Support student growth in both academic and behavioral areas, monitoring and documenting progress regularly
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create safe, supportive, and motivating classroom environments
- Facilitate communication and partnership with parents/guardians to foster student success
- Contribute actively to the development and refinement of intervention strategies aimed at dropout prevention and recovery
- Maintain compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements in a timely manner
