With the support of two experienced teaching assistants and a manageable class size of approximately 10 students, you’ll have the resources and collaboration needed to foster growth and achievement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure and certification in special education
  • Background in elementary education, specifically 2nd or 3rd grade preferred
  • Experience with adapted curriculum and intensive interventions
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teacher assistants and school staff
  • Comprehensive understanding of IEP implementation and data-driven instruction
  • Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adapted curriculum for a classroom of around 10 students in grades 2 and 3
  • Collaborate with two teaching assistants to create an inclusive, structured, and nurturing classroom
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
  • Foster communication with families and the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
  • Work full-time during school hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
