Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure and certification in special education
- Background in elementary education, specifically 2nd or 3rd grade preferred
- Experience with adapted curriculum and intensive interventions
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teacher assistants and school staff
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP implementation and data-driven instruction
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver adapted curriculum for a classroom of around 10 students in grades 2 and 3
- Collaborate with two teaching assistants to create an inclusive, structured, and nurturing classroom
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Foster communication with families and the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Work full-time during school hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
