Licensed K-5 Special Education Teacher - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid, active state teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Certification in Moderate/Severe Special Education
- Experience working with K-5 elementary students, particularly within specialized or inclusive settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
- Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage caseload and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe needs
- Manage a caseload of elementary students, ensuring each receives appropriate services and support
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve student goals
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments for diverse learning needs
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
- Document and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and legal guidelines
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in special education
