As a vital contributor to an inclusive educational environment, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure each learner's needs are met with individualized, evidence-based instruction and care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active, valid state teaching license for Special Education
- Certified to teach at the elementary level, specifically grades K–5
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Confidence developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and classroom support tailored to each student’s unique learning goals
- Develop, review, and update IEPs while maintaining ongoing communication with families and team members
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to foster academic, social, and functional skill development
- Use progress monitoring and assessment data to guide instructional decisions
- Uphold a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that values each child’s abilities
