Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 special education teaching license, demonstrating advanced preparation and expertise
- Prior experience working in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication skills to partner effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to implement both push-in and pull-out instructional strategies, ensuring students receive personalized learning
- Creative problem-solving skills to address a variety of learning and behavioral needs
- Willingness to collaborate and participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data collection
Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction using push-in and pull-out models to support K-4 special education students
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans and goals in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Modify curriculum and teaching techniques based on students’ unique abilities and progress
- Maintain accurate records related to student performance, accommodations, and communication
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that fosters learning and encouragement
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing collaboration with colleagues
