Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7:00 AM–2:45 PM; Wednesdays 7:00 AM–4:30 PM for professional development (onsite)
Job Description:
We are seeking three Special Education Teachers to support inclusion classrooms in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. These positions involve co-teaching ELA or Math, managing a caseload of students with IEPs, collaborating with general education teachers, and supporting student academic progress. One position will provide parental leave coverage, while the other two may begin on a month-to-month basis with the opportunity to extend through the school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license
- Strong special education experience
- Experience teaching or supporting Math and ELA
- Experience working with students with IEPs
- Strong co-teaching and collaboration skills
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Co-teach ELA or Math in inclusion classrooms
- Provide specialized instruction and accommodations
- Manage a caseload of students with IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff
- Monitor and document student progress
- Support implementation of IEP goals and services
- Participate in student support and IEP meetings as needed
