Key Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for a New Jersey Special Education license (preferred)
- Previous experience in a special education or resource classroom setting, ideally with early elementary students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside general education staff and administration
- Ability to differentiate instruction and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to support 1st-grade students within the resource room
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons and materials
- Assess student progress and modify interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families about student growth
- Maintain accurate records and documentation per district guidelines
