Key Qualifications:
- Holds an active Florida Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
- Experience delivering individualized instruction and classroom support to students with diverse needs
- Familiarity with crafting and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student and school needs
- Prior 1:1 special education experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and direct support to an assigned student in accordance with their IEP
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
- Collect and document student progress, collaborating with other educators and specialists to ensure consistency
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, adapting materials and approaches as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for ongoing student success
