Key Qualifications:
- Valid NJ Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated background in Math or Science instruction, preferably at the high school level
- Experience supporting IEPs, progress monitoring, and curriculum differentiation for diverse learners
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships while maintaining high educational standards
- Passion for working with high school students navigating recovery and individual challenges
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated Math or Science instruction to high school students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Use innovative strategies to engage, inspire, and support a caseload of high school learners
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and document progress effectively
- Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment where every student can succeed
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as assigned
