You’ll work full-time (37.5 hours per week) in a Pre-K Special Education setting, supporting children ages 3-5 with diverse learning and developmental needs. Your expertise will directly impact young students’ lives while you expand your resume, collaborate with fellow professionals, and learn new approaches from seasoned education leaders in a supportive environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements, Pre-K eligible
- Experience supporting Pre-K students with special needs in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with non-verbal learners and behavioral supports
- Comfort with assisting students in toilet training/diapering and feeding
- Team spirit, patience, and creativity are essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for Pre-K students
- Deliver specialized instruction and provide behavioral/communication support
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and feeding
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and family members
