Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant certification for New Jersey
- Previous experience in special education, ideally working with K-12 students
- Professional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken)
- Background in conducting student evaluations and making effective educational recommendations
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills
- Comfortable working onsite in a school district setting
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in assessment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough learning evaluations for K-12 students, assessing educational needs, strengths, and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to interpret evaluation results and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
- Prepare clear, comprehensive assessment documentation for a range of learners
- Provide culturally and linguistically sensitive services for Spanish-speaking students and families
- Maintain detailed records and adhere to all state and district protocols
- Work primarily with evaluation caseloads, focusing on high-impact student assessment
