Special Education Teacher - Longmont, Colorado

Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners as a special education teacher in a dynamic and collaborative preschool environment. This full-time contract position is designed for an experienced early childhood special educator who is passionate about inclusive education and helping each child reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid CDE ECSE (Early Childhood Special Educator) license
- Previous experience working in early childhood special education settings preferred
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a classroom team, related service providers, and families
- Demonstrated ability to manage and organize multiple responsibilities as both a case manager and service provider
Position Duties:
- Serve as the lead teacher for both morning and afternoon preschool sessions, each with up to 18 students
- Provide special education services and act as case manager for up to 10 students receiving ECSE support
- Collaborate with two dedicated paraprofessionals and coordinate services with occupational therapy and speech-language therapy providers
- Maintain organized, developmentally appropriate classroom environments and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and educational partners
- Ensure compliance with all required documentation and regulatory standards
The schedule runs from August 20 through October 30, 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with class sessions split between morning and afternoon groups. All services are delivered onsite for the duration of this assignment.
