Step into a rewarding role as a Full-Time Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher, where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with special needs near Los Angeles, CA. This contract opportunity runs until May 27, 2027, offering the chance to engage and inspire a maximum caseload of 20 students in a nurturing educational setting.

As an ECSE Teacher, your day will be thoughtfully structured. You'll manage two dynamic classroom sessions: 8:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm, with work hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (including a one-hour unpaid lunch). You'll find fulfillment guiding students through targeted instruction while collaborating with staff and families to foster each child’s growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid ECSE teaching credentials (required)
  • Experience with early childhood special education populations
  • Passion for developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and team members
  • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 20 students with diverse needs
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to children with special needs
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans in alignment with IEPs
  • Assess student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and families
  • Document ongoing progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
