Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Special Education Teacher with experience working in school settings
- Familiarity with life-skills programs, especially at the elementary school level (grades 2-5)
- Strong background in case management and IEP development, including serving as a Frontline lead for IEP work
- Experience supporting or leading SAMA-trained environments (restraint certification)
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about meeting the unique needs of every learner
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions based on students’ IEP goals
- Manage caseloads and oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs
- Collaborate with administrators, related service providers, teachers, and families to create a positive and effective learning climate
- Assist with daily dismissal duties, with the potential for para support for coverage
- Foster independence, social skills, and positive behaviors within a structured, supportive classroom
