Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for TX elementary grades 2-5)
- Previous experience as a Special Education case manager required
- Comfortable working with elementary students in Life-Skills classrooms
- Frontline experience for IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- SAMA (restraint certification) or willingness to become certified
- Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals
Responsibilities:
- Lead Life-Skills instruction for 2nd–5th graders
- Serve as primary case manager for students, coordinating IEP development and meetings
- Collaborate with staff and paraprofessionals for daily support, including dismissal duties
- Ensure adherence to best practices in special education and student safety
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and productive learning environment
