Position Overview:
You’ll work as a certified special educator in a 5th grade setting, guiding approximately twelve students who require support in reading, math, and executive functioning. This travel opportunity spans from August 31st through December 23rd, aligning with the school calendar. Experience close collaboration with the grade-level classroom team, ensuring students receive consistent and effective instruction in both academic and functional areas.
Qualifications:
- Certified as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience supporting students with reading, math, and executive functioning needs
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide small-group special education services for 5th grade students
- Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies
- Collaborate daily with regular education staff
- Monitor and document student progress
- Support positive classroom management and inclusive practices
- Schedule: School hours 7:55–3:25, with services between 8:30–2:45
