Special Education Teacher in Milton, VT

The position starts August 20th, with multiple Behavioral Interventionist (BI) openings as well as a Paraprofessional (ESP/BI) role. Take advantage of a consistent 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM schedule, working 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with K-8 students preferred
- Skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and student advocacy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on IEP goals and students’ unique needs
- Support the development of social, academic, and emotional skills among students with diverse learning profiles
- Collaborate with colleagues to adapt curriculum and monitor student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to documentation and goal-setting
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all students
- Utilize strategies for behavioral intervention and crisis prevention as needed
