Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

This contract opportunity is designed for dedicated Special Education professionals ready to contribute their expertise to middle and high school students. Both middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) positions are available, allowing you to tailor your impact based on your passion and experience.
Enjoy consistent daytime hours with a typical schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The academic year kicks off with two optional but highly encouraged planning and transition days (August 17-18), followed by the main assignment from August 19 through June 7, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Special Education teaching license is preferred, but candidates actively working toward licensure are welcome
- Experience working with grades 6-8 (MS) or 9-12 (HS) in a school-based special education setting is highly desired
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to helping every student achieve their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, modify, and implement IEPs and other learning plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Track and report on student progress toward goals in accordance with school and district standards
- Cultivate positive, productive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
