Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate, or current enrollment in an MDE-approved teacher certification program
- Preferred: Prior classroom teaching experience in similar environments
- Preferred Endorsements: Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect instruction to students with disabilities in Resource Room settings across multiple grade levels
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and assistive technologies to deliver academic content and support IEP goals
- Teach social skills and appropriate behaviors through positive supports
- Modify general education curricula and conduct engaging instructional activities
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, service providers, administrators, and families
