Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (or actively enrolled in a state-approved certification program)
- Preferred: Previous teaching experience in similar educational settings
- Preferred endorsements: Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA)
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect instructional support to students with disabilities
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and modify the general education curriculum
- Conduct engaging activities using phonics, multisensory techniques, and more
- Implement IEPs and use positive behavior support strategies
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success and compliance
