Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience teaching math, preferably at the upper elementary or middle school level
- Prior work in inclusion or co-taught classroom settings strongly preferred
- Commitment to individualized instruction and differentiated learning strategies
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and adjust IEP goals as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-teach and support math lessons in 5th and 6th grade inclusion classrooms
- Deliver one-on-one, targeted math intervention using the pull-in instructional model
- Assess individual student needs to tailor instruction and interventions
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to monitor student progress
- Implement IEP accommodations and modifications
- Maintain detailed records and communicate student achievements and challenges regularly
