Special Education Teacher in Nazareth, PA

As an Itinerant Special Education Teacher, you'll play a vital role in a range of educational settings, covering different classrooms and programs based on district needs. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification (required or preferred per assignment)
- Classroom teaching experience in special education settings
- Skilled in implementing IEP goals and differentiated instruction
- Proven ability with classroom management and behavioral supports
- Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service teams, and families
- Willingness to adapt to multiple locations and support a variety of specialized programs
- Strong background in one or more: Autism Support, Emotional Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, Behavioral Health, or experience in IU/specialized schools
Responsibilities:
- Serve in an itinerant substitute capacity, covering short- and long-term vacancies, leaves of absence, or ongoing specialized needs
- Quickly adapt to new environments, offering personalized support tuned to diverse student populations
- Implement effective strategies related to behavior intervention plans, communication supports, and life skills development
- Support and collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic and consistent care for each student
- Participate actively in professional learning, data collection, and ongoing IEP-related documentation
- Travel between assigned programs and sites within a 35-minute commute radius
