Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Proven experience working with students with IEPs and diverse educational needs
- Strong understanding of instructional adaptations and differentiated strategies
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain organized records and develop individualized educational plans
- Compassion, patience, and creativity in problem-solving
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in accordance with IEP goals and district curriculum
- Assess student progress and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming classroom culture
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress
- Create and monitor behavioral intervention plans as needed
- Uphold compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
