Special Education Teacher | Osseo, Minnesota

Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers, with positions spanning Assessment, ASD center-based elementary classrooms, and Setting III/IV therapeutic programs. Assignments begin August 31, 2026, and extend through the school year.
Current opportunities include:
- Special Education Assessment Teacher: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, facilitate eligibility determinations, and collaborate in building compliant, effective IEPs district-wide.
- Setting III/IV Special Education Teacher (Restore Program): Serve high school students with significant behavioral, emotional, or academic needs in a therapeutic classroom, implementing individualized instructional and behavioral interventions.
- ASD Center-Based Elementary Special Education Teacher: Join a dedicated team delivering specialized instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a structured, supportive elementary program.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Deliver evidence-based, specially designed instruction and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Apply effective classroom management and behavioral intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team processes
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, Minnesota Special Education regulations, and district policies
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility via reciprocity)
- Experience creating and implementing IEPs, with a strong understanding of special education compliance and case management
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
Preferred assets:
- Experience in ASD, Resource, Self-Contained, Setting III/IV, or Assessment roles
- Familiarity with PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, and BIPs
- Comfort working with elementary and/or secondary students
- Skills in behavior management and crisis intervention
