As a Special Education Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully by supporting a variety of students across multiple sites, whether your expertise is in ASD, assessment, resource, or specialized therapeutic programs.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility through reciprocity)
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing IEPs
- Strong understanding of IDEA, special education compliance, and case management
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, BIPs, ASD, or Setting III/IV roles
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for assigned caseloads
- Deliver specially designed instruction to meet student goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Implement effective behavior management strategies
- Ensure compliance with Minnesota and federal special education regulations
- Participate in evaluations and team meetings
