- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or in ESOL, preferably in a K-12 setting

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to students with diverse learning needs in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities to ensure accessibility
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student growth
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Implement appropriate behavioral interventions and positive classroom management strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional learning opportunities
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services
