Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in Special Education (PK–8 or equivalent)
- Experience utilizing TEACCH, PECS, ABA, or other structured teaching models
- Familiarity with restorative practices, trauma-informed care, and positive behavior support strategies
- Ability to design and implement individualized instruction in a highly structured classroom environment
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual Spanish speakers highly preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction based on IEP goals, tailored to the social-emotional and academic needs of each student
- Design and implement functional academic and life skills programming to promote student independence
- Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom ecosystem that facilitates emotional growth and positive behavior
- Utilize evidence-based strategies including ABA, TEACCH, and PECS to optimize student learning
- Maintain regular communication and collaborative planning with families, service providers, and support staff
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment and adjustment of programming to maximize student outcomes
