The available positions support substantially separate classrooms for K-1 and 3rd-5th grades. The caseload includes students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities, some on the autism spectrum, and non-verbal children. You’ll find this role both fulfilling and impactful, as you work alongside RBTs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (required)
- Experience in substantially separate classrooms
- Background supporting students with severe cognitive and physical needs
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (preferred)
- Experience with students on the autism spectrum, including non-verbal learners
- Confidence providing toileting and physical support
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specially designed instruction tailored to diverse student needs
- Collaborate with classroom aides, RBTs, and service staff
- Adapt curriculum and teaching techniques for a variety of learning styles
- Maintain IEP goals, documentation, and progress monitoring
