What we’re looking for:
- Valid FL ESE certification, paired with K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
- Demonstrated experience leading a self-contained classroom, ideally within special education
- Confidence working with students across a spectrum of abilities and exceptionalities
- Commitment to completing all district onboarding, including fingerprinting requirements (AHCA Clearinghouse verification if prior prints exist, JLA badge application)
- Willingness to participate in an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen for final selection
- Availability to commit to a contract from ASAP through May 28, 2027, working onsite (remote work not available)
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and manage a self-contained classroom with students requiring varying levels of special education support
- Collaborate closely with IEP teams, support staff, and families to nurture a positive learning environment
- Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse needs and learning goals
- Track student progress, document interventions, and adjust strategies as needed
